An ode to senioritis

From the era of Berger to Cranford

Many have dealt this notorious word:

Senioritis

Diagnosis – August 15, ’16

Epidemic in the Cal High regime

Horrible lazy no-good teenagers

Ditch all night essays for all night ragers

and pay one hundred bucks for ball tickets

but can’t pay attention for one hundred minutes

forget how to solve problems and read right

when the truancy notice arrives, fight

For your right to be crazy and careless

And to join in the grizzly exodus

Don’t say a slacker with Senioritis

Grows up a Midas quarter-life crisis

Because the future is a mystery

And you are the author of your story.
