Senior pitcher Lindsey Chalmers leads the Grizzlies to a 4-2 win over San Ramon on May 1. The team finished the season with a 3-11 league record. Junior hurdler Ian Stuertz (not pictured) competes in a track meet against Granada on April 24. At the EBAL Championships on May 17, the men’s track team placed seventh. Senior Tyler Randall finished in third place in the 400 meters with a time of 50.60 seconds. Freshman Olivia Duba clears a hurdle in the same meet against Granada. The women’s track team finished in second place behind Amador at the EBAL Championships. Senior Madison Ricks won the 800 meters for the fourth year in a row with a time of 2:16.59. Junior Helen Kimber won the shot put with a heave of 36 feet, 3 inches, while junior Tyler Carr finished third in the 400 meters (57.88 seconds). Women’s lacrosse sophomore Morgan Taylor brings the ball up field in Cal’s loss to St. Ignatius on April 29. No. 4 California defeated No. 5 Novato 14-9 on May 17 to advance to the NCS semifinals. The team took on top-seeded Amador on Tuesday. Results were unavailable when The Californian went to press. The men’s swim team (not pictured) did not place in the top 10 at the NCS Championships. The women’s swim team (not pictured) placed eighth in the NCS Championships with 95 points. Senior diver Kirsten Trout (not pictured) finished in eighth place at the NCS Diving Championships on May 15. Senior Mitchell Lum and sophomore Austin Fan (not pictured) earned All-EBAL doubles first team honors. The baseball team (not pictured) tied for second in league and earned the fourth seed in the NCS playoffs. Results were unavailable for the first-round playoff game against No. 13 Berkeley on May 20.
