Ellen Perfect is hell on wheel

By guest writer Courtney Carlson

It was early for a Saturday, but Ellen Perfect was up anyway, having forgotten that there was no school, and had a few free hours on her hands.

After maneuvering through old boxes, Ellen’s eyes were drawn to the sunlight playing off an unfamiliar object. It was some past Christmas gift from her brother: a unicycle.  Ellen thought, why not?

The first time Ellen got on the unicycle, she was left with more grass stains on her capris than was expected of the short distance she’d traveled.

Still persevering, though the task was unseemingly impossible, Ellen was finally able to stay on the unicycle for extended periods of time, and even move from place to place.

“My brother helped at first to teach me basic skills,” said Ellen. “Eventually, though, I became better than him!”
