Senior Lauren Aparicio appears in her first year as a staff writer for The Californian. Previously involved in the Publications program for the last three years, journalism is a passion Lauren wishes to expand. This year, she hopes to get exposed directly to more opportunities within the field of journalism and grow her writing and reporting skills. She dabbles in photography, writing, and interviewing. Throughout her California High School career, she hopes to build on these skills moving into college. In her free time, she plays soccer and spends time working or volunteering in her community, as well as connecting with the people around her.
