Heroes of all shapes sizes hit silver screen

The year of 2017 is winding down, but there is a large lineup of highly anticipated movies that are finally coming out.

This fall, a number of fantastic sequels are being released that longtime fans are looking forward to.

A heartwarming movie to lookout for is “Wonder.” Based off the best selling novel by R.J. Palacio, the movie is an inspiring story of a kid named August Pullman, who has deconstructed facial features due to a medical condition.

After being home-schooled his entire life, he finally attends a regular school and deals with a new atmosphere that includes bullies, making new friends, and accepting himself.

As his deformities make his appearance look different from other kids, he learns that he is just another kid in the crowd and learns to accept his place in society. Adapted from an inspiring book, this film will definitely be enjoyed by parents and kids.

Our favorite Kung-fu master is back in action in a whole new film: “The Foreigner.” Jackie Chan plays a humble businessman with a secretive past. But this all changes when Chan loses his daughter in a terrorist attack.

As he falls into depression over the loss of his daughter, he runs into trouble with the British government. Fans are shocked that Chan has come out with another spy movie, but are even more surprised that he is in a movie with one of the past actors for James Bond, Pierce Brosnan.

Who will be the better secret agent, our beloved kung-fu master or 007?

Another movie generating a lot of buzz is  “Justice League.” In this latest superhero film, Bruce Wayne (Batman) begins to realize that there are larger forces and greater evil presences and that maybe, just maybe, he should put together a group of heroes who could help him in combat.

The movie not only promises to include the Dark Knight, but also Wonder Woman, the Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg, and even the last son of Krypton.

Zack Snyder has also returned to direct .The innovative and exciting style of Snyder will undoubtedly stir up nostalgia amongst the millions of people who will pay to see the iconic superhero film.

One film many sci-fi fans can’t believe is hitting theaters is “Blade Runner 2049.” This film is a sequel from the original  “Blade Runner” that came out in 1982.

Set in a dystopian future in Los Angeles, Harrison Ford returns to his role of Deckard, while Ryan Gosling joins the cast.

If you’re looking for a good laugh, “Jumanji”(2017) is the movie for you. The film is a sequel from the original 1995 film,  but it puts a more comedic twist to the story.

Fans are glad to see one of their favorite comedic actors, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The film revolves around four high school kids getting stuck into a video game called “Jumanji.” Even though they barely know anything about each other, they must work together to get out of the dangerous game.

The rest of the year is filled with action packed films. The smell of popcorn is sure to swarm the air as theaters lure in masses of people. Will you be one of them?
