I scream for pumpkin ice cream

Pumpkin ice cream is a seasonal treat, arriving in September and usually sticking around until after Thanksgiving. That being said, here are the best spots to swing by if you’re looking for a frozen pumpkin delight.

Baskin-Robbins

An iconic ice cream place, Baskin-Robbins is a viable option if you’re craving pumpkin ice cream. Their limited time pumpkin cheesecake and pumpkin pie flavors really hit the spot. Their pumpkin pie flavor is very rich, indulgent, and creamy, with a little kick of spice to it. This place was definitely my top pick.

Foster’s Freeze

Located in Danville, Foster’s Freeze released a limited stock pumpkin cheesecake ice cream. The actual ice cream is pumpkin flavored, but it also is topped by small cubes of cheesecake.

Lottie’s Creamery

A local favorite, Lottie’s Creamery in Walnut Creek offers homemade pumpkin ice cream flavor selections, boasting both pumpkin pie and pumpkin spice latte. The pumpkin pie ice cream has a rich, strong pumpkin taste, with chunks of pie crust embedded in the ice cream.

Ben & Jerry’s

Ben & Jerry’s recently released a limited stock of pumpkin cheesecake flavored ice cream.

Their spin on the pumpkin cheesecake includes a graham cracker core in the light and creamy pumpkin ice cream. Mixing together the core and pumpkin ice cream makes the perfect crunchy and creamy flavor combo.
