Teach me how to snuggie

Infomercials have changed the way people shop. These commercials encourage people to buy things they can’t live without. Or can they?

Many gifts have become popular from infomercials. Snuggies, Forever Lazy’s, PajamaJeans, and ShamWow’s are the most commonly purchased by students.

The Snuggie has forever changed the way people look at blankets. After all, what’s not to love about a soft blanket with sleeves? The fleece makes it easy to stay warm while still doing everyday activities.

“The Snuggie is all I need,” said junior Daniel Fix.

The assortment of patterns and colors makes it a popular for everyone.

“My mom has a blue one,” said senior Jake Edwards. “I mean that’s pretty cool.”

Fix also bought one for his mother. He claims it as one of the best buys he has ever made.

There are even Snuggies for dogs, as if their winter coat isn’t enough to keep them warm.

But the Snuggie better watch out because it has a new competitor, the Forever Lazy, which essentiall is footie pajamas without the feet socks.

It also features deep pockets, a hood, and a drop seat for the lazy people of America.

“It’s propaganda,” said Fix, who is among those people who find it hard to compete with the Snuggie.

Like the Snuggie, the Forever Lazy comes in different colors and sizes, making it easy for its wearer to stay warm all over.

Another as-seen-on TV item that is sweeping the nation is PajamaJeans, nifty pants that look like ordinary jeans but have the comfort of pajamas.

“I don’t have any of these jeans, but I really want some,” said sophomore Nicole Price.

The jeans are made of soft, stretchy fabric, making them the most comfortable pants ever. There are no buttons or zippers on the jeans, just stretchy material to mold the buyer’s shape. PajamaJeans come in different styles, shades, and sizes.

“I can’t wait to get my hands on these super flattering and comfortable jeans,” said Price.

One of the best-known infomercials is the one for the ShamWow towel, which guarantees to hold 12 times its weight in liquid. It does all the work of a towel, but better.

“I dream of the ShamWow. I would really like to own one,” said biology teacher Doug Mason. “I have emotional ties to the ShamWow, rather than its capabilities.”

The shammy towel is easy for anyone to use. It even comes with a 10-year warranty.

So, keep your eyes peeled and your phone ready, because you never know when a life changing infomercial will appear on your TV screen.
