Name: Sarah Walsh

Grade: Junior

Favorite Flick: “The Notebook”

Best part about it: I bawl my eyes out every time I watch it.

When you watch “The Notebook,” you can’t help but fall in love with the story.

Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams play the parts very well in the movie. It makes the overall story that much better when you have believable acting going on between characters.

The fantasy of falling in love and running off with someone is something that every girl wants to see happen in their lives.

Seeing it happen in a well directed movie makes you think that it could actually happen.

I  have seen this movie at least 100 times and can tell you that it is definitely my favorite romantic movie, and  I would strongly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good love story.

Favorite Romantic Flick: “Love Actually”

Best Part About It: It’s enjoyable by all.

With Valentine’s Day approaching rather quickly,  many couples have started their hunt for the perfect romantic film.

“Love Actually” is a film that is loved by all, due to its clever and comedic qualities.

“Love Actually” is about several English couples on their journey in and out of love.

Whether traveling across the globe or staying close to home, each character experiences the trials and challenges of relationships.

The film is brilliantly clever and unbelievably hysterical, making it a great romantic flick which is loved by all.

“Love Actually” is a lovely romance and is a highly recommended, must-see at any time of year movie, especially during the season of love.

Favorite Romantic Flick: “(500) Days of Summer”

Best Part About It: It’s not a cheesy love story but it’s a story about love.

Unlike many Valentine movies out there that make you cry hysterically or grossed out by the cheesy lines, “(500) Days of Summer” is a movie that allows you to look at your life in a whole new different love perspective.

The screenwriter who previously wrote screenplays for “Pink Panther 2” created this script for a revenge on his girlfriend that dumped him.

The humorous story stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who was also in “Inception,” as the main male character along with Zooey Deschanel, who stars in the TV show “New Girl,” as the female character.

Despite their different views on love, they still fall head over heels with each other.

Name: Esther Lu

Grade: Junior

Favorite Romantic Flick: “One Day”

Best Part about it: Made me think about treasuring relationships (with anyone) so much more.

This film is a tear-jerker, it’s something that you can cuddle up to with a tissue box.

It’s a love story starting out with a college graduation and a classic one-night stand between Emma and Dexter. Even after their playful encounter, they remain as just “friends” and the two venture off to have failed relationships with other people.

Throughout the whole movie, their chemistry with each other is evident, but they completely deny what they truly feel.

Their relationship with each other shrinks to a tortured state and becomes a little too late for them to make their love actually worthwhile.
